PR3TARD is a project that has been going on since 2001. Combining electronic bloops and bleeps, field collected found audio, samples, and environmental sounds, the recordings by PR3TARD are collected here for the world to hear. Enjoy.
Back in 2005, PR3TARD performed a rare live set, opening for an Improvised Cinema performance by Potter Belmar Labs.
This performance took place at the Smartshop in Kalamazoo, MI. Sadly, the Smartshop is no longer around due to economic reasons. The Smartshop was started by metal artist Holly Fisher and served as a school and gallery for metal arts. It was quite a place, and events that happened there were always fun and well attended. I have been an unofficial documenteur of Holly Fisher's art since I met her in the mid 1990s. You can take a look at an award winning video I helped produce during her painting phase here.

The widget above plays the entire performance, although it is not playing in the order played at the event as you can see in the track listing. You can download the entire performance here if you like. In fact, Please Do! It is a bunch of MP3s in a zip file. You can go over to the place where these live on archive.org
These are pretty rough, but I thought I would put them up here. Some background on what you are hearing, these are minimal sound collages I threw together using a limited version of Ableton Live that maxes out at 4 tracks with 4 clips per track. The only effects on these mixes are slowing or speeding up the samples. All samples were collected by me using my portable audio recorder. You might hear frogs at a lake, or a chinese noisemaking toy, or street musicians, birds, chimes, bells, drones...... enjoy!
This mix contains samples of some Ethiopian priests chanting mixed with some frequencies I discovered have healing properties. This mixture can't be all that bad, huh
